Nourish You, a superfood brand, has secured Rs. 16 crore (approximately $1.84 million) in its Series A funding round, which was led by SIDBI Venture Capital.
Earlier in 2023, Nourish You successfully raised $2 million in its seed funding round, attracting various individual investors, including Y Janardhana Rao, Rohit Chennamaneni, and Nikhil Kamath. Additionally, the company acquired the vegan dairy brand One Good in the same year for an undisclosed sum.
Founded in 2015 by Sowmya Reddy, Krishna Reddy, and Rakesh Kilaru, Nourish You provides superfoods like quinoa and chia seeds to consumers in India. The company claims to oversee 5,000 acres of quinoa and chia cultivation across Rajasthan, Karnataka, and Madhya Pradesh.
Its product range, which includes quinoa, chia, millets, edible seeds (such as flax, pumpkin, sunflower, and watermelon), and breakfast cereals (like muesli and fills), is exported to various countries, including Singapore, Nepal, Kenya, Dubai, Mongolia, and the Maldives.
Nourish You's offerings are accessible via its official website and major e-commerce platforms, including Amazon, Flipkart, and BigBasket, among others.
The company faces competition from brands like True Elements, Slurrp Farms, and Jiwa, among others.
“This investment marks a pivotal milestone in our journey to make sustainable superfoods a part of everyday nutrition. With SIDBI Venture’s support, we are set to scale rapidly, drive product innovation, and solidify our position as a global superfoods leader,” Krishna Reddy, Co-Founder said on the funding.
